Thursday …
-First off, there are a couple women, here at the old ball-and-chain, who really make coming in to work an absolute blast. The office hens I could do without, but these two chicks are pretty solid. There’s nothing quite as awesome as pre coffee conversations about men’s tuxedo shirts (and where to buy them) and little boys’ suit vests. Which, by the way, I’m wearing today. I am very confident today because I feel well put together. I needed a way to dress up my day a little, since I’m still struggling to slap on a pair of heels or whatnot and feel great. It’s Seasonal Sartorial Malaise as one very cute girl put it combined with how hard it is to strut with a “sports injury”. BUT…
-I’m glad THAT is getting better!
-One thing that gets me really pumped is learning new things. I’m stoked for the start of school and for awesome class prospects coming my way. I’m stoked because I’ve got things to think about… paradoxes to ponder. I’m amazed by the genius of geniuses.
-I’m super excited for vacation in… count it 2 days. 2 days until Beck. 4 days until Texas. An entire week to hang out in the heat and relax. A week of seeing cool shit and spending time with good people. Gah! I have short-timers’ syndrome to the max and I’d rather be reading logic puzzles and sipping tea on my sofa. Instead I’ve got Wikipedia and…..
-Delicious asian pear!!! How is this fruit NOT more popular? I had no idea they could be so delicious. The trip to Whole Foods was awesome, the other day, since Whole Foods carries these delicious babies and a super selection of non-raisin-infused trail mix. Yay Whole Foods! Yay fruitgasm!
-The end of situations that make my head hurt really changes your perspective. I realize that the whole reason I stress comes down to not wanting to be involved, or dragged into someone’s negative vibes. Let them curse and moan! I’ve got to be happy and the best way to keep up the positive mindset is sans everyone else’s negative mindset.
-Feeling like I’m making tracks in paying things off and being okay with little splurges.
Things to ponder on:
http://www.iep.utm.edu/p/par-liar.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6del’s_incompleteness_theorems
“The liar paradox is the sentence “This sentence is false.” An analysis of that sentence shows that it cannot be true (for then, as it asserts, it is false), nor can it be false (for then, it is true). A Gödel sentence G for a theory T makes a similar assertion to the liar sentence, but with truth replaced by provability: G says “G is not provable in the theory T.” The analysis of the truth and provability of G is a formalized version of the analysis of the truth of the liar sentence.”
