June 18th at the Triple Door – Scarlet Room!
I heard this band at my friend Jason’s Puzzle Party and was THOROUGHLY impressed. Imagine yourself as Alice, falling into Wonderland as images of toothy grins and Cheshire cats, formed of smoke, go flying by. To have Scarlet Room at the Puzzle Party was befitting of their music, and I have a feeling their show at the Triple Door will be no different. If you’re into Myspace, check them out here, and if you’re in Seattle, come see them at the Triple Door!
“Scarlet Room is where rock music and cabaret meet. It’s where the theatrical storylines of Eloise Govedare’s lyrics intertwine with the provocative melodies of Aleksandra Weil to create something both sweet and twisted…
… coined as ‘a cabaret rock musical’, they have created a sound that is wholly unique, like the soundtrack to a dark circus, a sound that whirls around the listener and murmurs exciting promises in their ears. Scarlet Room urges their audience to step out of their comfort zone and embrace the beauty of chaos.”
Join Aleksandra, Eloise, Kris and Michael for the Vagabond Opera CD release party in the grandeur of the Triple Door. 7:30p, July 18 – All Ages. $18 presale, $20 at the door.
