Weekend Update and a Parasol Party!

WAO!  It’s been a whirlwind week and a half at the Love Castle!  Mister had friends in town… we went to Sasquatch and there was music and camping (and thoughts about what one should bring to desert music festivals), Bonne Vie’s been revamped (and I have an email address again!), there have been fittings for the Deco Modiste runway show at the Clise Mansion, there was a trip to Portland and a lot of subsequent napping, and the icing on the cake is that today is Mister’s birthday!!!

I have a few good posts in store… and if you haven’t heard about the Parasol Party yet, here’s the update:

Deco Modiste is proud to present a line of inspired cocktail dresses for the Half Past Lavish Parasol Party.  An evening of European Fantasy, this show features emerging designers, lovely parasols, delicious treats and a night at the amazing Clise Mansion in Marymoor Park.

Tickets can be found at Brown Paper Tickets – The event is next Thursday June 11th, from 6-9p.

Over at the Deco-Modiste blog, Kimberlee has a muslin preview of one of the gorgeous cocktail dresses she’ll be working on.  The theme is flirty fifties meets Marie Antoinette with matching parasols and dessert-inspiration.

I’m thrilled to be working on this project with Kim and I hope to see some of our readers at the show!

  1. Gosh, I want to have a parasol party now! I bought an asian parasol in our “Viet Town” near where I live – it’s this green pretty silk thing that I bought for $10.00! It’s really useful actually with the sun glaring down these days…

But I love that idea for a party!

    MC’s last blog post..Ta Da!

  2. Do it! Take photos and come back and link me to them! hehehe!

I’m so excited to be a part of the designer’s team for this. It should be a fun little event!
